Supervision
Chris Molyneux - BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor
I offer Supervision to Counsellors and those in other helping professionals. I really enjoy and cherish my role as a Supervisor and the experiences that it brings. My Supervision work is very much in line with my person-centred approach as a Counsellor and is based around Tony Merry's idea of Collaborative Inquiry:
“An open, empathic and non-judgmental environment that is simultaneously questioning and supportive, promoting congruence and an internal locus of evaluation in the Supervisee.” (Merry, 1999)
I believe that Supervision is about offering an environment to enable, support and share, to help you offer the best possible experience for your clients. I think it is important for you to feel as comfortable, supported and accepted as possible to enable deep exploration and openness without fear of judgment.
I have a real passion for Counselling and with it comes a genuine desire to develop, learn and grow both as a Counsellor and Supervisor. My hope is that this also has a benefit to the clients and supervisee's that I work with.
I have been a Supervisor for over 10 years and have had experience of working with a range of Supervisees including:
Experienced/Qualified Counsellors
Trainee/Student Counsellors
Those in other helping professions
Sessions are usually 1.5hrs (to meet BACP requirements) and are charged at £90. Alternatively, fortnightly 50 minute sessions are charged at £60. Other session lengths are possible to suit individual needs.
